‘Away win possible at Akwa’

Osun United head coach, Duke Udi has said away victory is quite possible in the Nigeria National League (NNL) clash at Akwa Starlets FC.

The Omoluabi Giants are guests of Akwa Starlets in Wednesday’s Bet9ja NNL matchday 16 clash at the Practice Pitch, Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Udi said his side need the whole points at stake badly to shore up their fortune on the Nigeria’s second tier southern conference log.

“We are out there in Uyo for victory against Akwa Starlets, we (Osun United) do not know anything like home or away match rather we focus our whole attention on grabbing the points at stake.

“So our main mission is to fight successfully for the three points at stake to shore up our standing on the log.

“We need to reclaim the points badly especially after we dropped two points in the match against Papilo FC as well as to steady the ship towards realising the season’s dream for promotion to the elite league.

“We have respect as good side for the hosts, Akwa Starlets but we do not fear the Uyo-based side.

“We are 100% ready to battle the side for the points and we are highly boosted to achieve the mark by the heart-warming victory against Abia Comets.

“Now that we have regained our stride and winning aura we will fight hard to guide it jealously,” said the former Nigerian star and coach of Giwa FC to supersport.com.

The Ogbomosho landlords are eighth on 18-team NNL southern conference log on 20 points 12 behind leaders, Heartland with two matches to spare at Unicem Rovers and My People FC.
