Stima sign winger Makori

Western Stima have completed the signing of Dan Makori.

The former Gor Mahia winger, recently attached to KCB, has joined the club on a two-year deal.

Makori, once one of Gor’s most important players, will hope to revive a career that has stalled since his exit from Gor in June 2012 after the arrival of coach Zdravko Logarusic.

He had a stop-start time at KCB and will want to settle quickly, now that he has arrived at Stima.

“I have signed a two-year deal which delights me,” said Makori.

“Stima has always been one of those clubs that shows stability and is always competitive, so I am happy to join. Last year was not the best for me so I look forward to improving this new year at Stima. I am happy to sign and hope to repay the club with good performances.”

Stima coach Francis Baraza has described Makori as a top player.

“He is a very good winger as he has shown previously in Gor Mahia and elsewhere,” said Baraza.

“I am sure that he can perform at the highest level and that is why we have signed him. “The player is raring to go and looking forward to doing well here which impresses me. “I am confident it will work out well for all of us,” he added.

Makori joins Willis Ochieng as Stima’s second signing of the off-season.
